Good evening, F&M. The College Reporter has a very important update to share with you all. We have been eager to share this information for quite some time now, but our executive board was sworn to secrecy. Our very own Editor-in-Chief, Anna Chiaradonna, will be taking a leave of absence for the rest of the semester, as she has been selected to join the upcoming season of MasterChef! She will be filming from April 7th through late May.
Anna first fell in love with cooking at the age of seven, when she taught herself how to cook ratatouille after watching the well-loved Disney film of the same name. She came to F&M to pursue an English degree in hopes of exploring the intersections of food and writing, her secret dream job being a food critic.
She was selected for MasterChef after her sister, Ellie Chiaradonna sent in an application on her behalf. When Ellie told Anna she had been chosen, she was completely taken aback. She was shocked and excited, but most importantly, she was torn — how would she leave TCR behind for an entire month? After talking it over with the Managing Editor, Director of Marketing, and section editors, she has determined she has to go for it.
With that being said, it is crucial that we identify a new Editor-in-Chief as soon as possible. The College Reporter team will be accepting applications from anyone and everyone in the F&M community.
